Lan Kwai Fong Group and Shenzhen-based HaiYa Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Wednesday to bring LKF’s business model to major mainland cities, such as Shenzhen and Zhongshan in Guangdong.

The first joint project will open this year in Zhongshan with a total construction area of more than 1.2 million square meters and a commercial area of 580,000 square meters, making it one of the largest urban complexes with the most abundant functional forms in the Pearl River Delta region.

“Starting with Zhongshan, we aim to combine Lan Kwai Fong Group’s design, marketing and branding expertise with HaiYa’s leading asset and property development operations to create unique experiences and spaces for people in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to thrive,” said LKF chairman Allan Zeman.

He also hopes to bring an innovative culture to the Greater Bay Area, inspired by Hong Kong’s dynamic energy, vibrant lifestyle and unique global culture.

Shenzhen will be the second city to embrace the innovative consumption complex, introducing more globally well-known brands and novel consumption formats.

Tu Huilong, chairman of Haiya Group, said they will make every effort to build the new establishments into a shining name card of tourism, leisure and entertainment in the Greater Bay Area.
