BEIJING – China's major stock indices ended mixed in the morning session Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.01 percent to 3,242.97 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.38 percent to 11,844.64 points at midday. 

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, went up 1.2 percent to 2,571.02 points in the morning session Wednesday.

The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and other indices, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
