The China-US economic and trade agreement brings benefits not only to the two countries but also the whole world, and the two sides should join together to create conditions and promoting the implementation of the agreement, according to Shu Jueting, spokesperson of China's Ministry of Commerce.

She made the remarks at a regular media briefing on Thursday when asked for comments regarding the implementation of the phase-1 economic and trade agreement between the two countries.

She also said China would welcome the US to start a targeted tariff exclusion process while keeping open the potential for additional exclusion processes as warranted.

China always believes lifting additional tariffs are in line with interests of consumers and producers in both countries, and also is good for world economic recovery.
