Exhibitors of the fourth China International Import Expo started to build booths and arrange displays as the first exhibits were moved to the venue on Saturday.
Feng Jianhui, senior logistic manager of the National Exhibition and Convention Center, said 150 batches of CIIE exhibits have arrived in Shanghai, accounting for 98 percent of the total exhibits.
The first batches of exhibits include a bending machine from Japanese machinery manufacturer Amada and two electrical warehouse trucks from German material handling equipment provider Jungheinrich
All exhibits will be carefully disinfected before entering the venue, Feng said, adding that the construction of exhibiting booths will be finished by Nov 2.

Bai Daping, China managing director of Jungheinrich, said the company will launch the Asian debut for EZS 7280 electrical tow tractor during the expo, and it will also be the first time for the electrical forklift ETV Q20 to debut in China market.
"We have participated in the expo since the first edition," Bai said. "Standing on the shoulder of CIIE, we increased the popularity of our brands."
Koji Yamamoto, chairman of the board and general manager of Amada China, said the company participated in the expo last year, and has seen a big boost in sales of its automation products in China.
"The CIIE is a platform that showcases advanced technologies and products of foreign companies," said Yamamoto. "We are very honored to attend the expo and hope to meet more Chinese customers through the fair."
